I like the humble, liberating and divine words that Jehovah forces to his beloved people.....

the following is part of an email from a retired district overseer in the states.

"the new bible will be released at the agm and i understand only two versions will be printed from now on.
Modern english means yet another modified Bible......they like to "tacking" the Bible too
to all who are still active...& those who are not...... is everyone ready for wt for sunday....1914....is everyone ready to see the friends faces, that will pretend all is well.
but their minds will be racing.
i started the article...talk about confusing...but maybe on purpose only a few in the hall will be able to break it down.
Just bring with you an Awake proir nov 1995 and the book "You can live forever in paradise on earth" and ask for a true answer
here is an interesting link that compares the bible's teachings versus the koran's teachings.
http://members.ozemail.com.au/~dbates/koran0.htm.
is there a way to know for sure which out of the two books is more credible?
What I can see, the only main dissimilarity between the Bible and the Koran is the difference in text patterns.....the letters are used in a different order.
if you are non religious, do you still feel those with religion show a higher level of humility than others in society?.
on the face of it, i feel most would answer in the affirmative.. but breaking it down, i find it harder and harder to accept.
in fact, i'd call it the opposite of humility.
I cannot answer your question because I´m not in position to understand what "humility" is. Maybe "in shame" should be deleted from that text.
The ONLY thing I can relate it with myself is that sometimes I am ashamed (of myself) how stupid I am.
thread for nasticanasta to have at with proof that it does..
I hope it will not. To stay open (minded) doesn´t mean to naively believe in any kind of thing, actually it means the opposite. I can stay open for many things, but I don´t believe in them.
is the bible really the word of god?
while sitting in my garage having a smoke, i reached up to an old publication (which i keep handy on my shelves).
it was the book stated above.

Don´t worry Cofty, I don´t believe in hell, I´m just open for the possibility of it.
Please don´t tell us that you are a believer?! (believing that hell does not exist)

Rev 20:14-15 "…… whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
What about bringing up a "hell discussion" to a JW like this?:
Mr Corious: -The "Lake of fire" must mean that Hell is a burning hot place?
Mr Arrogance: -No, it´s just symbolic.
Mr Curious: -Says who? Jehovah´s organization?
Mr Arrogance: -Yes!
-But what if they have wrong?
-They have not.
Mr Curious: -As they were wrong about Armageddon 1925 and 1975? Or that all young people 1969 would not grow old? Or that people who saw the events 1914 shall see the end of this wicked world?
